Hope Center for Children

Who We Are

Our services include: an emergency shelter for when children are removed from their home due to abuse and neglect; longer term residential care for girls in foster care; home visitation and prevention focused case management when a child is able to live at home; and a transitional living program that offers skills and support to young adults ages 16-22 as they transition into adulthood.

What We Do

In January 2013, two historically strong organizations, the Ellen Hines Smith Girls' Home and Children Shelter of the Upstate, merged to form the Hope Center for Children, providing a true continuum of care to meet the needs of the children and families in our community. Though we provide many different services, our new name captures what is at the heart of each one of our programs - providing hope to children and families.
